Shipping Policy

Walla Walla Vintners uses the best method available to deliver your wine in the most economical and efficient manner.
We ship FedEx Ground by default. If you need to use UPS, please email info@wallawallavintners.com or call 509-525-4724.

We strongly recommend shipping wine to a business address, if possible, for prompt delivery.

Federal law requires a signature be obtained from an individual over the age of 21 for all wine shipments. By placing your order, you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old and that the person to whom delivery will be made is at least 21 years old. When your wine is delivered, the person receiving delivery may be required to show identification.

After the third missed delivery attempt, orders are typically held for up to five business days, dependent on your local FedEx or UPS store policies. If not picked up, your shipment will be returned to our warehouse. Additional shipping charges may apply to reship an order.

We evaluate weather and temperatures prior to shipping orders. If an order is requested to ship and the shipping route is experiencing inclement weather, we will hold your order until the opportune shipping conditions.

Summer Shipping

Wine is sensitive to heat, and prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures can result in flawed wine. To help combat this, we offer two options during checkout:

  • Shipping with ice packs. We send out your wine in a protective foam container with low-sweat gel ice packs. Ice pack shipping results in additional carrier/material charges and costs an extra $15 per case ($10 per half case).
  • Hold for temperate shipping. After you place your order, we set aside your wine until it is safe to ship. For many states this isn’t until October.

Shipping Options

  • Orders placed by 2:00pm PST, Monday through Friday, can be shipped within two business days.* The package tracking number will be sent to the customer placing the order via email once the order has shipped (within 48-72 hours).
    • *Delays can occur with high volumes of orders (i.e. holidays, promotions, and sales)
  • Orders placed after 2:00pm PST Friday or on Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday will be processed the following business day.
  • Our default shipping company is FedEx.

Other Details Regarding Shipments

  • Walla Walla Vintners sells and ships wine only to persons 21 years of age or older. To place an order, you must provide your date of birth (or the recipients date of birth if sending a gift). By placing an order with Walla Walla Vintners, you certify under the penalty of perjury that you and the recipient of this shipment are at least 21 years old.

  • All wine deliveries legally require the signature of a person 21 years or older. Packages containing alcohol cannot be left unattended (ex., at a door or on a porch).

  • When wine is delivered, the recipient will be required to show identification proving they are at least 21 years old.

  • UPS/FedEx makes three delivery attempts before the order is sent back to us. If we need to resend the package there will be an additional charge to re-ship. (Please note: UPS/FedEx stores generally hold packages for up to a week before they re-route the package back to us).

  • Acts of Nature: No refunds will be offered for damages or delays caused by acts of nature or inclement weather.

  • We are unable to ship orders to individuals outside the United States.
